Carter had built a professional connection with the North Arkansas Electric Cooperative, joining the organization as an intern in December 2022. He later became a full-time employee in July 2024 and was promoted to the cooperative’s right-of-way division in 2025.
His colleagues were deeply affected by news of his death. Carter’s connection to the cooperative extended beyond his daily responsibilities, and his passing was felt throughout the organization. Several NAEC offices were closed to allow employees to attend his funeral services and pay their respects.
Carter was a resident of Glencoe in Fulton County, where he was known within his local community and among those who worked alongside him. His sudden death at 24 has left loved ones facing the difficult reality of losing someone who had many years of life still ahead of him.
He is survived by his wife, Kiley; his parents, Ross and Misti; and his siblings, Tressie and Cooper, along with extended family members and other loved ones who will carry his memory forward.
The family has asked those wishing to honor Carter’s memory to consider memorial donations to Humphries Cemetery in Glencoe or Public Timber Project Bible Donations.
While details about Carter’s early life, education, personal interests and accomplishments outside his professional career have not been publicly confirmed, those who knew him will remember the role he played in their lives and the dedication he brought to his work.
The loss of a 24-year-old leaves behind a profound sense of what might have been. For Carter’s family, friends and coworkers, his memory will now live on through the relationships he built and the moments shared with those closest to him.
